Audacity of Deception and Hypocrisy has come up with another piece of evidence, this time linking ILLINOIS SENATE CANDIDATE Obama with ACORN…It’s a picture, and we all know that pictures are worth everything, especially when it comes to outing Obama and his connections…the caption on the picture is “ACORN members meet with Illinois Senate Candidate Barack Obama. Photo as printed in 2004 ‘Social Policy’ article.”
It’s not as recent as we could wish for, but it does date from the time Obama was starting his career in politics…See Chicago Reader post below.

Perhaps you could stand a bit of research into history. Facist regimes start out as far left, Socialist groups. They use the ideas of change and a bad economy to raise political fervor, then it turns into almost a cult following where the “charismatic” leader of the movement is treated as the only one that can fix the problems of the people. Then the current form of government is overthrown and a new, dictatorial regime takes charge based on the persona of 1 man. And the rest, as they say, is history.

That is the most superficial citing of a “fact” that I have ever heard. But good try.
Pointing out that most fascist movements have started out on the left, therefore claiming that they are somehow still “left” is like pointing out how people start out as babies and so therefore they are still babies. Yes, even some of Reagan’s chief campaign strategist were Trotskyists at one time, what does that prove? There was nothing socialist about the Nazi party even though the word, “socialist” was used to describe the Nazi regime. They just temporarily took private sector enterprises and nationalized them, meanwhile they spied and murdered real Marxist/socialists in Germany.
Just because one labels themselves as socialist does make them one, genius.

A comment about the purchase of 30 minutes of tv time by bo is that if the time had been proivded free of cost to obama, it would have to be offered to McCain as well.
BO is taking no chances that McCain has equal opportunities under the law.
My question is this:
If BO is elected, what will he run for next? Like Bush, he has no real work experience – save being present. He knows only how to run and win. Not work.
I am currently reading “Shock Doctrine” by Naomi Klein. I am not very far along and I’m already scared for us. If you look at Suharto of Indonesia, he recruited the “religious students” to do his dirty work (p.82). He also (like barky) knew nothing of high finance and of the economy and so was enormously influenced by the young economists who had been trained in the US. We all know how Indonesia has turned out.
I don’t care if he is a socialist or a fascist. BO is a danger.

Someone needs to take a class called POLITICAL SCIENCE 101.
Political ideology is like a circle, the more liberal one becomes (SOCIALIST), the more conservative one becomes (FASCIST).
That’s why people have been labelling Obama both ways.
Go to school and learn something instead of posting to blogs that no one cares what you think!

Grail Guardian – I went to “paganpower” and I was scared. I’ve been scared for quite a time now, and it just keeps getting worse. With John McCain now telling an irate audience in MN that Obama is a “decent” man, my brain is wheeling that much faster.
leslie – He doesn’t think he will need to run for another office or get another job (has he ever really had one?) If he is able to steal this election, he intends to dispense with elections, and rule the world as King.
As “fembots” points out Farrakhan has already proclaimed him the “Messiah”. That is as high as anyone could go.
We’d better all pray to the Real Messiah to watch out for us and not let this calamity happen.

See lee M.’s comment above. There will be nothing non-violent about it, IMO. Especially for those of us that have opposed him (look at what he’s already done to opponents such as Hillary Clinton and John Lewis, to name just 2; don’t support me and you’ll grovel at my feet forevermore, plus I’ll run candidates to oppose your re-election).
The direct answer to your question is… wait for it… Cults. Think Branch Davidians, Heaven’s Gate, Jonestown, Etc. That’s what they do when they don’t think they can “save” the rest of humanity. In this case, these people think they can “save” the world (I say people because this is way beyond 1 man), and Barack Obama has set his narcissistic sites on just that goal (think “Citizen of the World”, then add in what lee M. said and you have his next “job” being a global Über Führer, if you will).
If you don’t think that people like me are going to be sent to “re-education” camps and such, then explain why the Oborg spends so much time trying to identify dissenters. You personally have been very respectful in your comments, but many of us have had Obama supporters come after us and threaten to “out” us by publishing Social Security numbers, names, addrsses, phone numbers, etc. I even had one threaten me that once they’d nailed down my identity they would contact my employer and tell them “what kind of a person you really are”. Now in and of itself, I could care less if my employer read my posts but I took it as a direct threat that this person was going to make sure I was fired.
Non violent? So far. But how long would the violence abate if millions of “typical white people” lose their jobs and must be thrown into prisons and camps because they disagree with Der Führer? My guess is not long.

I was referring to Palin’s Alaska secessionists; How far they are willing to take their cause and what Palin will do to help it once she is in office. Could also refer to PUMAs breaking from the democrats also.
As for your other concerns (cults & re-education camps) they do seem a little nutty to me. UFO-abduction nutty. The whole strain on this site of lumping all Obama supporters together in a cult-like group and then giving them names like (admittedly, very funny) Oborg and Obamabots is not only counterproductive but is a hindrance to your understanding of what is really going on. I don’t know how much of it is just Limbaugh-esque bullshit (calling out “program callers”) and how much is genuine paranoia about all of Obama’s supporters.
This is not a “politically correct” type of concern.
I am sorry for you run-ins with the kooks who threaten your well being. They do not represent the majority of Obama supporters, as I have said before. I am a gun owner, and it is not because of a fear of Obama Cultists or crazed mobs of farrakan crazies. It is because of the people who live around me, who have McCain signs in their yard, who are open (if usually in cowardly hushed voices) racists and who raise their children to believe the same. I am more afraid of the next Tim McVeigh or even Radovan Karadzic that will emerge than I am of any Obama cult.

As far as McCain proclaiming Obama to be a “decent man”, it seems that he is either lying to keep his rallying supporters from getting out of control, or he truthfully believes him to be a decent man. Which is the worst case, in your opinion?
