Memo to Obots & Obot Bloggers Who Thought Obama Was a Feminist…..We Told You So…Here’s the PROOF!! UPDATE 1X– SEGREGATED! UPDATED1X Add This To the List…

~~By InsightAnalytical-GRL

For all of you asshats who believed the great conman back in the 2008 primaries, let me tell you that YOU are to blame for our descent into Stupakistan.

It was all laid out for you, but you bought the hype.

Only the old timer heading NOW gets it.

Seems that NARAL and Planned Parenthood (national) are still not letting go of their adored Obama, since they think he’s being “forced” by nasty conservatives to screw us with a big fat executive order at the behest of the Stupak gang.

Really?  Then how do they explain what Obama was doing back in 2008?

Maybe you’ll get it now…but I doubt it.

Women, more than half the population, are now SEGREGATED and now have been officially codified as being unequal by the misogynist in the White House…

I hereby direct the Director of OMB and the Secretary of HHS to develop, within 180 days of the date of this Executive Order, a model set of segregation guidelines for state health insurance commissioners to use when determining whether exchange plans are complying with the Act’s segregation requirements.

From the first Black president, no less…What a complete PIECE OF SHIT!

PALIN LAUNCHES “SarahPAC”!! (Updated 1X–It’s Not Just the Alfalfa Club for Palin This Weekend)

Alaska Governor Sarah Palin (R-UNQUALIFIED) has launched a political action committee…dubbed SarahPAC!

Here’s the link:  http://www.sarahpac.com/

From the site:

Sarah Palin’s Official PAC

Dedicated to building America’s future, supporting fresh ideas and candidates who share our vision for reform and innovation.

SarahPAC believes America’s best days are ahead. Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination.

SarahPAC believes energy independence is a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves.

SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals. Join us today!

YOU GO, GIRL!!!  It will be interesting to see who receives help from SarahPAC in the future…

I don’t agree with everything in her political viewpoint…BUT, I give her high marks for GUTS in standing up to the shitty media, shitty Democrats, and shitty Republicans, not to mention shitty so-called “feminists” who have worked to demean her accomplishments as a sitting governor who has worked her way up the ladder.

Could she represent a better wing of the Republican Party?  Anybody is better than the slugs in D.C. right now…Republican AND Democrat!!

P.S.–Memo to Hillary Clinton: When you echo words like “clenched fist” exactly as Obama says them, you are disappointing.  You apparently very willingly got kicked upstairs as other people make big announcements about upcoming Obama foreign policy “events.”

Damned shame. Oh, and remember “always fighting for us?”  ……Not so much…

Repeating from prior post on the stimulus package vote:

Hat tip to Tennessee Guerilla Women….Obama Axes Birth Contol Funds to Please Republicans

So the F*cking SOB has begun demonstating his love and respect for women by trading our birth control for $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. And won’t it especially hurt POOR women??   And when do we stop paying for VIAGRA????

If I hear one complaint against upfront Sarah Palin, who has NEVER overturned a law that secures the rights of women and gays, I will put another HEX on NARAL, NOW, Ms. Magazine, and Planned Parenthood.

UPDATE 1   6:30 PM MT, January 29, 2009

Looks like Palin will be real busy in D.C. and it won’t be just the Alfalfa Club dinner this weekend…From CNN:

Palin is slated to attend a dinner Friday night at the residence of Fred and Marlene Malek. Fred Malek is a businessman who served Republican presidents Richard Nixon and George H.W. Bush. High-profile guests from both political parties are expected to attend the function.

The governor’s office also says Palin will attend a luncheon at the Center for Strategic and International Studies Saturday before heading over the to Alfafa Dinner.

There will be other “non-partisan” events as well.  The visit to the Center for Strategic and International Studies is VERY interesting, isn’t it?

Gossip columnist Cindy Adams over at the New York Post opines:

ASK not what Sarah Palin can do for your country, ask only what you can do for Sarah Palin. And the answer is, pay attention. Trust me, Alaska’s governor is moving faster than those glaciers.

Adams goes on to say that it’s really significant that Palin is attending since she  “may only leave the frozen tundra  two days a month.”

She adds:

Next month she addresses a Washington gathering of prominent conservatives. She’s going ahead with a book. Her Facebook page has 410,000 friends. She wants to influence policy knowing the nation must turn to Alaska as its energy resource. She’s planning to be president.

Well, I’d say this is “developing”….

If You Don’t Take Care of Women in Your Party (and Don’t Respect Those in the Other Party), How Can You Be Trusted with Issues Affecting Women–Or Anything Else, For That Matter? (It’s the Loss of Credibility, Stupid!)

It’s the LOSS OF CREDIBILITY, STUPID!

That’s all I have to say now.  The Democratic Party has ZERO credibility with me now.

Oh, it was hanging by a thread even before this primary season.  In 2005, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid were going to “Drain the Swamp.” Except that the Democratic Party itself turned into “The Swamp.” on their way to achieving the lowest Congressional approval ratings ever in Gallup poll history . The first 100 hours went by in a flash with nothing much happening.  Harry Reid kept mailing me about how he was “giving them hell” but I never saw any flames.

And my criteria for “results” was pretty low. Did I expect a wave of programs sailing through and a rollback of the Bush agenda? No! All I expected were a few signs of life and SOME FIGHT!!  Did I get any? None that stick with me.

I wasn’t a Hillary Clinton supporter in the beginning. The only one who appealed to me was John Edwards, because he was mentioning corporatism and how its tentacles affected every aspect of American life.  The media ignored Edwards out of the race, which turned out to be a good thing as his pants had been unzipped unbeknownst to us who really were hoping for a fighter.

Obama never really made a great impression on me. From the get go, I didn’t trust him.  He had no experience and I knew early on about his questionable connections.  Being an old hag, I wasn’t buying all the hopey dopey stuff.

I saw a book event by Obama biographer Shelby Steele in Berkeley, California and listened to his discussion of Obama’s life and how his followers would be disappointed.  It sure made a lot of sense to me.

Once Obama opened his mouth saying that the Viet Nam war held no lessons to be learned and then launched into his admiration for the operating system of the Reagan Era (all in the same interview) he was pretty much over for me.

His version of “change” didn’t look like change to me as he voted for FISA and it was revealed that he was going to vote for John Roberts for the Supreme Court but was advised otherwise because it wouldn’t look right.  He caved on his nuclear safety bill and accommodated the GOP. Well, he also accommodated himself since Exelon was one of his biggest donors. His flip flops would later come at such breakneck speed that I couldn’t figure out when he had the time to stick his finger into the wind to even see which way the wind was blowing.

Then there was the crap he started dishing out to Hillary Clinton.  “You’re likable enough,” uttered with his head turned down and away from her, was a complete turnoff. His strutting around the stage like a bad imitation of a nightclub comedian bugged me.  When he flicked Hillary off his shoulder and gave her the “street finger” I was appalled at his cocky arrogance. With this behavior, you knew he and the Party weren’t about to stand up to the misogyny being dished out to Hillary by the media.

The man swung between intoning platitudes with forced gravitas and acting like a street thug.  It was like he couldn’t make up his mind whom he was talking to.  One minute he was talking like a preacher, the next he was posing for a “crotch shot” for women reporters on his plane. And, oh, that plane. Just the type of plane that Sarah Palin would love to put on Ebay…

But the crowning achievement of Barack Obama was to re-create Bill and Hillary Clinton as a racists.  It took all of his own talents as a whiner and faux victim, coupled with the same qualities in his wife, to accomplish this.  The surrogates waved paper around on Meet the Press and off they went, leaving the wreckage of Bill Clinton’s legacy and the old guard of the civil rights movement behind.

I didn’t like the people he hung out with.  Rezko, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Nadhmi Auchi, a boatload of “mega-pastors, ” William Ayers…but not too many real people.  And Axelrod…the guy who cleverly gave Obama Deval Patrick’s speech to read and was emulating every Rovian trick in the book.

You know what really appalled me? That comment about women and late-term abortion: “”Now, I don’t think that ‘mental distress’ qualifies as the health of the mother,” said Obama.   And NARAL and even Planned Parenthood are still on board. Was it the money promised or the threats of no money that got them there?

And then his crew got to humiliate Hillary Clinton at the RBC Meeting and the Democratic Convention and the next week, stood by as Obama followers trashed Sarah Palin.

Threats. Intimidation. Lack of respect. Acceptance of misogyny. Divisiveness. That seems to have replaced reaching out…especially to many in his own Party!

I’m recalling the lovely black woman whom CNN caught on tape…She wept as she expressed what Hillary Clinton represented to her.  Beside her was a young man, whom I thought was a guard of some sort.  Well, it turned out he was…an enforcer from the Obama camp, who spoke sharply to her as she finished speaking.

The hallmark of the Obama campaign has been the lack of caring for anybody but Obama. I don’t see much evidence of his really caring about much else…and that includes the people in Rezko’s slums

Last night I caught a rerun of “The Best Man” on TCM. The older Secretary of State (played by Henry Fonda) confronts the ruthless Joe Cantwell (Cliff Robertson) with this hard truth:

“You have no sense of responsibility to anyone or anything…and that is a sad thing for a man and a disaster for the country.”

Seems to sum it up perfectly.

(With additional comments by GRL)

I sat down to write a little essay about misogyny. I intended nothing too profound and nothing that hasn’t been said before, just something that hadn’t been said by me. I thought perhaps, as had happened before, that if I put something down in writing I would better understand it.

Looking back I wonder that I was so surprised by the brutality of the misogynistic attacks on the first woman to be a viable candidate for president. Sexism is such a part of daily life that few of us stop to think about it. A snort of disgust here, a sniff of resentment there, and on with the business of living our lives.

Older women have had a lifetime of watching incompetent and under qualified younger men come out of no where and snap up the best jobs. I’ve worked in offices where the big man couldn’t find his ass with either hand if his secretary hadn’t pointed it out to him. He got the big paycheck, the power, the glory and she got to do all the work while supporting the dunce. She also got to be taken out to lunch once a year during the week of April 22 – 28 for Secretary’s Day.

While fooling around googling sexism I came across this sentence: “On average, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends in this country every day.” I reread it just to make sure that I was reading it correctly. Their husbands or boyfriends murder three women every day.

This is happening here in the USA. It’s happening here so going all C.J. Craig about the awfulness of how Saudi Arabia or some other foreign country treats it’s women seems a tad hypocritical. Unless we use the same logic we use to elect presidents; we may be bad but they’re worse. Feel better now?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k30MOebDSww

The United States is not a safe place for women. It may be safer than elsewhere but we don’t live elsewhere. We live here. Here where every single day of the year more than 3 women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends.

President Clinton signed into public law the Violence Against Women Act of 1994 on September 13, 1994. VAWA was reauthorized in 2000 and signed into law by President George Bush on January 5, 2006. It will be up for reauthorization in 2010. Okay, that takes care of that.

Somewhere in America, a woman is raped every 2 minutes, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Four in 10 women at a veterans hospital reported being sexually assaulted while in the military. 7% of girls in grades 5-8 and 12% of girls in grades 9-12 said they had been sexually abused. Does this sound like a society that likes, respects or cares for women?

Gender trashing is epidemic, out in the open and unashamed. Women do it to other women. Men smirk and laugh while making malevolent sexist remarks on national television. It all seems part of the same underlying distain for women.

Cringe? Protest? What’s the matter sweetie can’t take a joke? Ya trying to play the victim? Laugh it up girls or the boys won’t think you’re a good sport.

Wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all go away. Wish I could make all the “isms” disappear as they should in any decent society. I wish busybodies would quit worrying about the sex lives of consenting adults. Homophobia isn’t any prettier than any other form of bigotry.

For the sake of my 7 granddaughters and my two lovely little great-granddaughters I wish my generation had done a better job of making a better world for them. I wish I could somehow keep them safe from all the ugliness that misogny will bring into their lives.

I am no smarter or any closer to the answers I sought then when I started this essay. I’ve learned some things. Some ugly, terrible things. I wish I was hopeful.

Because I don’t want to leave a bad taste in everyone’s mouth and since we women can always find a way to get through what we have to get through with humor I give you a song about women.

GRL Adds:

This post hits home for me on so many levels.  For example, I trained a young man, only to see him get a promotion which I was in line for. He leap-frogged me, and I was forced to find another job to reach the level I should have reached in my former workplace.  As a temp, I literally bailed out a manager at Rolls Royce who screwed up the publication of a manual and who was even more dismissive of me after I did him the favor.

And then there is the concept of “comparable worth.” The idea has gone nowhere. Once in awhile you’ll hear how a stay-at-home mother is worth several hundred thousand dollars but, in reality, it’s more like $30,000 and that may be high.  As Liz Pulliam Weston of MSN says,  the “shocking truth” is that “Our society doesnt place a high dollar value on a homemaker’s work, and those who choose to stay home do so at their own economic peril. ”  Meanwhile, women earn what 80 cents for every dollar men earn.  Sure there are trade-off, choices which may contribute to this disparity.  But some of those choices have to be made because we don’t have the attitude toward supporting families and children that other countries have. (An interesting read on this subject here.)

Complacent young women these days may believe they’ve reached parity but reality hits them sooner or later.  But I’m afraid that something else is going on, too…that the violence and sexual messages against that are so prevalent and viral these days are being too easily accepted as “the norm.”  I’m afraid a lack of self-respect is just as deeply ingrained as it always was…

This campaign season has been a reality check for many of us who have beeing fighting for women’s rights for several decades. When you see NARAL and Planned Parenthood support an inexperienced guy who makes a habit of using and discarding people along the way, you have to wonder what has happened to the women leading these organizations.

They’ve gone soft, at a time we still need them to lead.
