Snap quiz!   Who else out there is ready to find a hole to hide in?  Preferably a rabbit hole…I mean, what does it take for the country to wake up as to the fact the ACORN voting fraud and mortgage debacle can be laid at the Democrats’ and Obama’s feet?  Of course, we know that kicking around Sarah Palin is far more important than anything unsavory that Obama has been involved in…

In Grail Guardian’s October 6 post, IS THE TIDE TURNING? 10 THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP, Grail mentions Cloward-Piven in suggestion #8.  If you click on the link, you’ll come to an explanation of Cloward-Piven at DiscovertheNetworks.org, A Guide to the Political Left.  CP is described as a “strategy for forcing political change through orchestrated crisis.:”

In their 1966 article, Cloward and Piven charged that the ruling classes used welfare to weaken the poor; that by providing a social safety net, the rich doused the fires of rebellion. Poor people can advance only when “the rest of society is afraid of them,” Cloward told The New York Times on September 27, 1970. Rather than placating the poor with government hand-outs, wrote Cloward and Piven, activists should work to sabotage and destroy the welfare system; the collapse of the welfare state would ignite a political and financial crisis that would rock the nation; poor people would rise in revolt; only then would “the rest of society” accept their demands.

(SNIP)

Their article called for “cadres of aggressive organizers” to use “demonstrations to create a climate of militancy.” Intimidated by threats of black violence, politicians would appeal to the federal government for help. Carefully orchestrated media campaigns, carried out by friendly, leftwing journalists, would float the idea of “a federal program of income redistribution,” in the form of a guaranteed living income for all — working and non-working people alike. Local officials would clutch at this idea like drowning men to a lifeline. They would apply pressure on Washington to implement it. With every major city erupting into chaos, Washington would have to act. This was an example of what are commonly called Trojan Horse movements — mass movements whose outward purpose seems to be providing material help to the downtrodden, but whose real objective is to draft poor people into service as revolutionary foot soldiers; to mobilize poor people en masse to overwhelm government agencies with a flood of demands beyond the capacity of those agencies to meet. The flood of demands was calculated to break the budget, jam the bureaucratic gears into gridlock, and bring the system crashing down. Fear, turmoil, violence and economic collapse would accompany such a breakdown — providing perfect conditions for fostering radical change. That was the theory.

James Simpson’s article “Barack Obama and the Strategy of Manufactured Crisis” in American Thinker moves from theory to the current political situation. Although written from a conservative point of view, the timeline provided and details of Barack Obama’s involvement and connections is an invaluable overview of how we’ve gotten to where we are today…And check out the chart which shows it all, plain as day.  Too bad nobody in the mainstream media seems interested…Another chart here of Obama connections focusing on the mortgage mess by the Princess Wears Prada which appears at Just Say No Deal…

McCain’s internet-only ACORN ad (?)…Should be on the TEE VEE…has it gotten there yet? Any sightings? If it isn’t on the TEE VEE, it should be…unless it won’t be allowed by the MSM!

I noticed a comment in a thead at Texas Darlin’ this week that really stuck in my mind. So here it is:

A comment by Marie at Texas Darlin…

I noticed on the Google anniversary search that there are lots of references to Barack J. Obama. Was this yet another name for him? What did the “J” stand for? Did he run for office using that middle initial?

Some references said it was when he was avoiding use of the name “Hussein” so as not to be confused with being Muslim.

I am amazed at how loosey goosey he is with his names. When one becomes inconvenient for any reason–he just changes it.

Marie, you’re not the only one who is amazed…

As the slaughtering of Sarah Palin continues, Pagan Power has written a great post detailing the “troopergate” case.”  So, Palin is guilty of “abuse of power.”  I heard a passing “report” that the panel/judge didn’t buy the claim that the Palin family had valid fears.  Pretty outrageous, even for this political season.   Check out “WITCH-HUNT: The Sarah Palin Chronicles.”

Coincidentally, I happened to catch a few moments of Book TV, with Bob Scheiffer of CBS being interviewed. It was taped before “Palin got out there.”  Scheiffer was spouting about how this was all “serious business” and the implication was that Palin wasn’t worthy of being VP.  The woman doing the interview went right along with it, forgetting Dan Quayle, Spiro Agnew and all the other men in the office who weren’t exactly winners.  I find this whole business tiring and disheartening, don’t you?

I watched a bit of show on the History Channel about “The Last Days on Earth” according to prophecy, cultists like Jim Jones, David Koresh and the Davidians, Marshall Applewhite’s Heaven’s Gate…and science.  One scientist commented that every morning we wake up, we face a 1 in 20,000 chance of something half-mile or larger hitting the earth.  Of all the things examined, I have to say that it’s the cultists that get to me the most…and that includes the Obama zombies.

Time to get to more pleasant thoughts…things that provide an escape from the incessant propaganda.

Yesterday I picked about 20 prickly pear fruits from a big cactus in the front yard, took off the little spines by passing them each over an open flame on the stove, then simmered them, mashed them, and strained out all the juice.  The juice looks like beet juice. The actual fruit is pretty sweet. SInce this is the first time I’ve ever handled the fruit, I was really surprised at how much juice came out of them. So, tomorrow, I’m going to make prickly pear jelly.  I haven’t done any canning or jelly-making in a long time, so I’ll have to see if I can remember how I set up the process years ago.

I’ll report on what happens in next week’s roundup…

Sarah, the Mooseburger Mom

~~By kenosha Marge

Our dear friends in my ex party simply cannot help themselves. Try as they might they cannot pretend to be anything but derisive about people that are not like them. Coddled in their own little world they strike out at the very people they pretend to care about. People that struggle on a daily basis to pay the bills and work towards a better life for their children. These are the people that my erstwhile party pretends to care about. And women. While calling us trailer trash and rednecks. How special.

Pardon me if I say baloney. Or don’t pardon me. I really don’t care. I don’t care because the blindfold is no longer on and I see that the party that claimed to be all about women’s rights and human rights and caring about the poor and the afflicted is lead by mountebanks. I am disgusted with myself for not seeing this before now. I am disgusted with myself for voting a straight Democratic ticket for over 40 years. I am disgusted that I believed that they would fight for women’s rights.

The light of truth began to shine through my Democratic Blindfold during the primaries when most of the media, the Democratic Party and the DNC slobbered relentlessly over Obama and derided, insulted, and dismissed Senator Clinton. I had expected the Clinton-hating media to attack Senator Clinton. I had expected the GOP to get their jollies by having a Clinton to kick around once again. But attacked by her party? Mind-boggling! Had I not all ready seen the error of my ways in believing that my erstwhile party was the party that most respected women along came Governor Sarah Palin the Mooseburger Mom and the excrement hit the fan. The Democratic Party proved that it is not only a party that does not respect women, they proved themselves a party that denigrates, derides, lies, and hyperventilates over the very idea that a woman would dare to run for Vice President of the United States. No sooner had they disabused their womenfolk of the notion than the damn Republicans had the audacity to put a female on their ticket. This, screeched the left, will never do.

The sight of so many prominent Democrats, male and female rushing to attack Governor Palin is repulsive. Men and women I had once admired hastened to cast the first stone at this woman from nowhere. They revealed themselves and it wasn’t a pretty sight.

Democrats and media have thrown everything they could think of against this woman and still, at least for now, she’s the most popular of the 4 candidates. She even edges out Obama by a point. Oh the humanity!
What is there about her that drives reasonable people to lose all perspective?

Why the hate for Sarah Palin?

First and foremost there is the resurgence of Republican enthusiasm. Holy cow are they enthused! Just when Dems were doing victory laps because the Republican voters were moribund, along came Sarah.

Many Dems were sure that large numbers of Conservative voters would stay home. Most of the Pundidiots were predicting an Obama blowout. John McCain was once again declared dead. Oh what a difference an unknown female Governor from Alaska makes. Large numbers of voters now seem to be very robust Sarah Palin fans. Will that mean more votes for McCain? You betcha! Therein lies the tale of the loathing and hysteria.

Second, and this is admittedly just my opinion, I think the left fears the ordinariness of Sarah Palin. Not her good looks, although that doesn’t hurt. Not her intellect, which they try to deride by claiming she’s a female Dan Quayle. No it’s the ordinary life she, her husband and children live in spiteof the fact that she is a governor. A film clip I saw on Greta Van Susteren showed the Palin family around the kitchen table and there was a mayonnaise jar with a knife still sticking out of it. I remember seeing that many, many times in my own kitchen. Ordinary. Homey.

Sarah Palin is also, gasp, a hunter. Or is that huntress? In all events she takes a gun, goes out, kills a moose, field dresses it and said moose ends up in her freezer and ultimately on the dinner table. Oh the horror of it all.  She eats meat; meat that she killed! Oh yuck. Whereas the rest of the carnivorous people in the world eat meat that, what, died of old age? Those steaks on your plate were killed amongst the most horrendous circumstances you can imagine. Animals die in pain, fear and filth. Hunted animals die, usually, in their own environment quickly and with a minimum of fear and pain. But in the end, they are all just as dead.

Millions of Americans are hunters. Deriding Governor Palin for being a hunter is silly and stupid. FYI, I am not a hunter and the thought of killing animals and eating their flesh finally became so repulsive to me that I because a vegetarian a few years ago. See http://www.goveg.com/slaughterhouse.asp

We’ll all just have to wait and see what comes next. A day off of politicking for 9/11 may have given some people a chance to step back, take a deep breath and get over their hysteria. The Shrillosphere did not because it is not in their nature. And besides, Governor Sarah Palin is a woman. And we know how they love to hate women.

All in all this has been a most enlightening election cycle for me. I’ve learned about Fauxgressives and phony liberals and misogynistic Democrats and horrendously sexist media. I’ve learned that for some feminism isn’t really about women. Feminism is only for the “right” kind of women. Liberal women.

Who knew?

I’m still in the process of learning about Sarah The Mooseburger Mom. If nothing else, it should be entertaining.

Putting Clinton, PUMAs and Palin in Their Place–The Pundits Don’t Skip a Beat

Kenosha Marge found this treasure  from the Boston Herald columnist a day or so ago and decided to share it with me.

It’s time to put aside hurt feelings

By Margery Eagan

What’s the principle at stake, I asked. Then he offered the by-now-familiar batty refrain about Democratic honchos fixing the race and robbing the votes in Michigan. It was like debating a stubborn 3-year-old.

I( wonder what Ms. Eagan is thinking tonight, after the Palin bomb was dropped on the Obama crowd today?)

Kenosha Marge (and I do, too) take issue with this crapola of equating genuine anger over the Democratic Party’s primary “process” with the tantrums of “stubborn 3-year-olds.”

I emailed her as one Marge to another and asked if “she couldn’t work a little harder at being condescending?” Because you know how being condescended to by a twit like this makes us all just so impatient to vote the way she thinks we ought to vote. Since I am using plain text I cannot use an emoticon with smoke coming out of it’s ears. But you get the general idea.

Well, my feelings are still being “hurt” as I watched Morton Kondracke, Juan Williams, David Gergen, and then heard Michael Savage all shrieking about Sarah Palin’s inexperience. And then they launched into the “one heartbeat away from the Presidency” fear card as if they’re hoping John McCain might croak any minute. Morton Kondracke’s condescension simply dripped all over the place…it was really so obvious. He was literally squirming with discomfort and had to resort to being snide. Do I sense Palin is threatening their masculinity?  What asses!!!

For God’s sake, I actually agreed witih Bill Kristol and Fred Barnes tonight. They had met Palin months ago and saw her potential as a candidate and were thrilled over the pick.  They didn’t seem to be threatened at all…

And what the hell has Dan Quayle got to do with all this?? She’s as bad as Dan Quayle, according to the media idiots. Really??  I feel sorry for Dan Quayle. Resurrecting and ridiculing Quayle as a way of demeaning Sarah Palin is supposed to be funny, I guess.

By the way, why all the sudden reverence for the experience of Senators over governors? Didn’t we use to hear that being a governor was a superior background because of the executive experience gained in office? In Obama’s case, he can’t even claim years of experience and expertise built up on key committees.  What, he’s had something like 176 days in the Senate, with most of the time spent running for President?  Call a meeting of the committee that deals with NATO?  Nope! Oh, and what did he do in the Illinois legislature in the 55 days or so a year he was there except cut deals and play cards with Republicans? Oh, but he has blowhard Biden to save the day!  I feel SO REASSURED!

So, first the media insults Hillary Clinton and now it’s on to Sarah Palin.  Without skipping a beat.

As for Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party…I hate to see Hillary boxed in, still expected to push Obama along to victory. Frankly, I think she should develop some mysterious illness and drop out of sight for awhile and steer clear of Obama as much as possible. Lord knows, she won’t get the respect of either Obama or the vipers I saw today, no matter what she does…

She should get out of town and stop propping up The Chosen One before people begin thinking she’s not as strong as we thought she was. Kowtowing to this mob for too long will ultimately work against her by undermining her image as a leader.

Meanwhile, Sarah Palin could be on the verge of reinventing the image of what a woman candidate can be this year.  And, hopefully, it doesn’t involve being cornered and stripped of her power….this time, not by her party, but by the media alone…
