After grinding any chance of real health care reform into the ground, you probably won’t be surprised by the latest from the Obama gang.
The New York Daily News is reporting:
Team Obama to double budget for treating 9/11 responders in an amazing same-day U-turn
WASHINGTON – The White House suddenly boosted funding for ailing 9/11 responders yesterday – pumping more government money into the treatment program than ever before.
Team Obama ponied up the cash only after outraging New York lawmakers with the news the administration won’t back a permanent plan to help the dying Ground Zero responders.
The White House confirmed it will more than double the budget for treating ill responders to $150 million in 2011.
The abrupt reversal came after the Daily News revealed New York lawmakers were shocked Wednesday when Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said the administration does not support an $11 billion permanent treatment plan.
Surprised?
The delegation hopes President Obama will reconsider and put victims of the terror strike on a footing close to wounded soldiers, perhaps even funding the 9/11 health bill with the military.
Don’t hold your breath…
Although 911 responder advocates are happy that there will be more money available in 2011, it’s not a real solution to the lack of permanent funding:
But lawmakers still believe a permanent fix needs to be made so responders don’t have to go hat in hand every new budget and political cycle.
“Sebelius made it clear that the administration does not support any kind of funding mechanism that’s built into the bill,” said Bronx Rep. Eliot Engel. “They find money for everything else, they need to find money for this.”
Yes, Rep. Engel, they sure do find money for everything else, don’t they?
Hey, if 911 responders can’t get money for their health needs, what chance do the rest of us have for secure access to health care??

Yep, there’s money for everything else – like taking Air Force One to New York to entertain Ms Meeeshell, or hopping to Copenhagen to pitch for a Chicago berth for the Olympics or many more dumba## things that Teh One thinks are important.
So what if the First Responders don’t have proper medical care – he could just pull a Marie Antoinette on them and tell them to eat Argula. (sp?)
This imposter is not interested in heaalth care for anyone except his own, and thanks to the American tax payer he has the best health care available. I think his great push for this health care bill is just to prove that he is the boss and is determined to get his way.
He scoffs at anyone who doesn’t agree with him and tries to humiliate anyone who bucks him. Even the Supreme Court isn’t safe from his unbridled tongue. I wonder if they have had second thoughts about listening to the many people who wanted proof of a valid birth certificate?
Kudos to Sam Alito. He was the only of the SCOTUS who refused to cater to Obama when John Roberts invited him to tea in the chambers. Alito refused to attend that pandering performance. He had enough tact to realize how it would look to the American people.
John Roberts laid the court wide open for this insult when he issued that special invitation to Obama and Biden – something that was never heard of before, to my knowledge.
Lee,
Obama isn’t after power, he’s after a Stalin-esque dictatorship which begins with nationalizing everything. Health care is 1/6th of our economy, plus he;s already got 2/3 of the auto industry and anything with a union attached. A pretty good start unless we all stand up and say “enough!”
I know the popular wisdom is that we can’t win if we don’t go through the red or blue, but that’s just more of the brainwashing they’ve done over the years to make us submissive. The Founders gave us an escape clause for this exact scenario – every 2 years we can totally eliminate the entire House of Representatives. All we have to do is follow through on it!
We can throw all the bums out – all we have to do is stop re-electing them! If you haven’t ever checked out Get Out of Our House, I urge you to do so. Listen to Founder Tim Cox – he’s a man with a mission and he’s put his life on hold to rally patriotic Americans to exercise their right to be free of tyranny!

It’s our only hope!
Grail, I signed on this afternoon, and have already received my membership # and information on the meeting in Baltimore on Feb 1st. I hope I can make it. If not I’ll try to catch the next one. Actually, if he would come to D.C. that would be more convenient for me. I’m 35 miles from Baltimore and only 15 miles from D.C.
I can’t be as pro-Alito as you, Lee. He, himself, was allowed to get on the court even after his questionable relationship with Vanguard Funds. He’s no prize and frankly, if he were truly “unbiased” he wouldn’t be mouthing off like he did…it’s not the correct protocol for a Justice! Esp. when he is one of Bush’s nominees, along with Roberts, who are completely pro-business at the expense of workers. (note the decisions they’ve been instrumental in passing down.)
I really have no use for the “Supreme Fart”” in general since they took over the election in 2000.
Alito and the Court in general get NO pass from me…
And frankly, that decision they made on corporate campaign donations is AWFUIL!! Of course, Obama probably had foreign money coming in during 2008, so it’s grandstanding by him to be “offended” by it….but the Court sucks and Alito blew his cover as being “unjudicial” in temperament when he acted like any of the idiots in Congress! The decision being criticized apparently struck a chord in Alito that he took personally–defensive, eh?
Tim is scheduled for D. C. on tax day, April 15th!
