Wanna be FREAKED? Watch this Charlie Rose interview form Wednesday (11/5) with Newsweek bigshots Jon Meacham and Evan Thomas. Rush Limbaugh played excerpts on his show…he thought he detected fear. When I watched, Meacham seemed a bit “pained.” I’ll say one thing: These suckers re-delivered all the Obama-myth in this interview, but went to other places…places they SHOULD HAVE BEEN before the election.
And one more thing! Minute 4:30— “It’s hard to get at Obama, he’s very self-contained…inclusive yet self-contained…can be unnerving if you’re in the cross-hairs…wouldn’t really telegraph where he’s going…he’s a very self-contained guy.”
Minute 6:11— Meacham starts: “…he’s very elusive, Obama…he is the chief custodian of the story of Obama, he is a stand-alone brand, I was very struck watching the stagecraft, and this comes out again and again in the project. at Grant Park, He walks out with the family…then they go away. Biden’s back locked in the bar or something, they won’t let him out. Have you ever seen a vitrory speech with where there was no one else on stage, no adoring the wife, no cute kid?”
Thomas says: “There’s a slightly creepy cult of personality about this….It just makes me a little uneasy uneasy that he’s so singular….he’s clearly managing his own spectacle…he knows how to do it, he’s a deeply manipulative guy, ..,.this can be a useful thing in a leader..I think he’s always in control, he controls events, events don’t control him. He’s a pretty calm guy, he seems to be able to get people to do pretty much what he wants”…At Harvard, “He manages to persuade all of them that he’s on their side. and..He realizes that people want to help him, it makes people feel good to help and this is an important insight for him…He knows he has this gift, that people want to help him,”…I’ll let them help me…”
Minute 8:30–“He understands the character of Obama in this drama he’s constructed..I’m a screen on which people project project their visions, their hopes…he could be a redemptive figure as long as race was implicit, not explicit….he could be the center of attention, the star of this…”
He’s “like Reagan, like great charismatic leaders, who project brilliantly but who are very much in control behind the scenes”…Rose says “he ascends to look at the circumstance,…he watches us watching him.”
Minute 10:26–“He has the self-awareness to know that this CREATURE he’s designed isn’t necessarily a real person” … He has constructed something he believes America is looking for. He gets beyond the ’60’s, people are so SICK of the 60’s and the cultural wars… He doesn’t have a grievance, he not part of a group, doesn’t have a chip on his shoulder, he doesn’t do “identity politics” or victim politics, and he he makes that very clear…”
HOLY SHIT!! These are REPORTERS, are they seeing what we saw and heard????????
Minute 12:35–“He seems not only like the smartest kid in the class…he seems like the responsible one”… “Prudence,” “knows the culture well” (refers to street talk, etc.)
Minute 13:25–Rose says: He knew that the “stars were in alignment for a candidate like him, and therefore, he merged what he was with that.”
REALITY THEN SETS IN FOR A MOMENT (OR IS MEACHAM TRYING TO CONVINCE HIMSELF??)…Meacham says progressive should be very careful in thinking that the “millenium” will come…things move slowly…”he’s very practical…a lot like Ronald Reagan…his core followers may forgive him….he may be able to govern CENTER-RIGHT.”
Minute 15:35— “His whole life is the narrative, he wants the story to end well.” 1
Minute 6:10– Talks about himself “as if he’s a character, not quite like Nixon, 3rd person, but damn close.”
Minute 18:00— Rose…”Where is he courageous, not Machavellian?”–THE TWO NEWSWEEK churnalists come up pretty empty here….”he’s RISK-AVERSE.”
Who will be the principal opposition, queries Rose. “Gov. Palin will have a very large platform” Repeat of all the crap about the clothes, running up bills, etc. and how “frustrated” aides were… (If these assholes in conjunction with the Obama crowd don’t destroy her, the GOP insiders will.)

This is one of Bush’s final gifts to us women. Introducing Sharia Law to the US and doing it with our own money. The $700 billion troubled asset relief money that Paulson & Co. has in its clutches. Islamic financing by Sharia law has been in operation around the globe for quite awhile and is not necessarily a first step toward full Sharia Law being included in our legal code. As far back as 2006, HARVARD LAW SCHOOL was running sessions by the “Islamic Finance Group” under name “Islamic Finance 101: Introduction and Career Opportunities” under the auspices of Harvard’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies.
So, we’ve got HARVARD UNIVERSITY/LAW SCHOOL, BUSHCO, and OBAMACO….all doing their thing on SHARIA INVESTING .Coincidence????? (UPDATE: See Al-Mansour connection below)

I can’t believe Hillary is still shilling for Obama…and money! I got an email from HillPac with this ridiculous message. I’m sorry, I’m SO OVER THIS:

Percy Sutton: This 87-year-old icon of the Civil Rights Movement recently recounted a story where he claimed he was asked to write a recommendation for Barack Obama to enter Harvard. Sutton’s quote follows:
“I was introduced to him by a friend who was raising money for him and the friend’s name was Dr Khalid al Mansour from Texas. He is the principle adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me about Obama. He wrote to me about him and his introduction was ‘there is a young man that has applied to Harvard and I know that you have a few friends left there because you used to go up there to speak, would you please write a letter in support of him?’ That’s before Obama decided to run. And he interjected the advice that Obama had passed the requirements, had taken, and passed, the requirements necessary to get into Harvard and become President of the Law Review. That’s before he ever ran for anything. I wrote a letter in support of him to my friends at Harvard saying to them I thought there was a genius that was going to be available and I surely hoped they would treat him kindly.”
Khalid al Mansour/Donald Warden: The mysterious man Percy Sutton referred to in his interview is somewhat difficult to identify (a very common name in several countries). The al Mansour that is also known as Donald Warden has ties to both the radical Black Panthers and has served on the board of a bank in Nigeria that may have connections to money raised for Barack Obama. Okay, this comment may be OT, but that hasn’t stopped me in the past…..
Today, in Chicago, the Tribune’s “Red Eye” cost free daily “newpaper” had a stunning photo of the Obama family (except for that p.o.s. dress that me-chelle wore at the Grant Park ego-fest) and the headline reads – well it actually SCREAMS:

My eyes are bleeding. My head is exploding.
(and here I thought, – because it’s what we’ve been hearing for the past 2 years – that it was the Clintons who thought of themselves as the American Royal Family )
Well you used better words for Hillary than I have for the last few weeks. I have lost more respect for her than I thought I ever could. She isn’t shilling for him, frankly I thought her and Bill both were pimping for him. I think she did it so she could keep her senate seat with absolutely no power what so ever. Her words will never be allowed in OpEd pieces, she has been silenced. All she was given was a senate seat. Yes Hillary is nothing more than a politician too. She is in it for herself. And she should be ashamed of herself for letting so many down. She should be ashamed of herself for saddling us with the narcissistic clown.
Rose and the others weren’t being entirely genuine when they said he is self-contained. It would have sounded better if they had just said he is a narcissist. And that is the true reason he was the only one on stage. He had to have adulation from his screaming masses.
There were two other world leaders who wrote autobiographies before they were even known….Hitler and Stalin…..and they expected pretty much the same thing from their adoring masses. Interesting comparison. I will not be silenced by anyone….msplaceddemocrat

All I “heard” from that Charlie Rose transcript is “Ronald Reagan” They’ve been blowing teflon up his ass since January, when he said the magic words. It was the first time I had an inkling of the fix.
Of course it’s all manufacturing reality, no surprise here.
I just read the Obama hypnosis thing- it explains A LOT! Including why I don’t fall under his spell- nobody has ever been able to hypnotize me- relax is not something I ever do and I guess I am too much of a control freak to give up and give in.
It would certainly explain how formerly rational intelligent people can not see or hear anything negative about the fraud.
ProudMilitaryMom isn’t that thing interesting? It makes sense. At NewHampster’s blog we’re trying to figure out the common thread that unites the PUMAs. A lot of us are women, sure, but a lot of us can see through B.S. Or maybe we just hate bandwagons.

Scary, isn’t it? I hate the ignorance of those that didn’t bother to do any research into their candidate, but I absolutely cannot forgive the actions of those that did the research and then hid it from public view.
I have to disagree about Islamic finance. A seminar on the topic is not a trojan horse for Sharia law. Islam bans usury, meaning that finance must be structured along completely different lines; and since many banks and countries follow Islamic finance, it behooves our officials to know something about it.
And frankly, we’d all be a lot better off if our law reined in usurious practices.
At just before the 14:00 minute mark, Meachem notes that Obama raised and spent more than anyone in history. Without this money that came from who knows where, I believe that Obama would have failed regardless of his great talent to read the teleprompter, to stage his public moments, and to exploit people’s emotions. Sure, he would have had the support of those who congratulate themselves on how enlightened they are, but it was this money that made him the candidate along with his (false) claim that most of it came from small contributions. Visions of sugarplums danced in the nearly empty heads of the Democratic “leadership” and Obama became the annointed one.
The 80’s seems to be the frame through which Meachem forms his opinions about where the country is. What he and people like him don’t want to admit is that the economic foundation of this country has been demolished. In the 80’s, there weren’t millions who have lost their jobs, homes, and any semblance of security. These people projected their hopes on Obama, just as he manipulated them to do. They are not going to want to “take change slowly”. (BTW, I don’t understand his comment about JFK running to the right (national security issues maybe?) when it was JFK who ran on Medicare).

I am banning Newsweek from my house. For these reporters to finally share their real impressions about this man, that are not glowing in any stretch of the imagination, makes me livid. Then when they realize the danger of what they are saying they start back peddling and say Obama is like Reagan and JFK, a man who could watch others watching him and always be in control.
He has constructed something he believes America is looking for? That is so frickin manipulative I can’t believe that they see this as a good quality. These idiot neo-progressives deserve everything that is coming to them with Obama’s candidancy.

The reason Obama can put on such a good show of being a blank slate is because of his upbringing. He has always walked a fine line and been forced to hide his true self (radical mother and going to prep school). When a person isn’t true to themselves, which they usually work on during adulthood, they carry this deeply manipulative and somewhat creepy factor because you can always get people to do something for you if you manipulate them by listening to them and acting like you agree with them.
Could the common link for PUMAs in why we saw through Obama’s bullshit because we all seem to read a lot and/or write? Or is it some tragic event that occurred in our childhood that made us more sensitive to our gut feelings? I don’t know what it is, but I am soooo glad we all tuned into it.

Have you seen any of today’s press conference? He looks very tired (dark circles under his eyes), which is understandable. But he also looks overwhelmed, with that “What the hell am I going to do now?” look magnified. Pinnochio’s probably wishing he was a real boy right about now.
My mother said he’s using a TELEPROMPTER…hell, I don’t think BUSH used a teleprompter…
She said he was asked about taxes and the top 5% and he DIDN’T answer…just started repeating his campaign speech about the $250,000, etc…
catfish- yes the whole thing was very interesting and well worth the time spent reading it. Fembots brought up the point we all seem to read a lot- I know I did not watch any of Barky’s speeches- can’t stand listening to him. I preferred to read the transcripts so I could actually see what he was spewing. All his uhhmm and ahhs drove me nuts when I watched the debates. Kind of hard to hypnotize someone with the written word??
That got me to wondering if the younger generation is pre-disposed to fall for this kind of junk- what with all the TV and video games they were brought up on. I have long believed video games often contain subliminal messages and just wondered if their brains have been warped in some fundamental way. Or am I TOOO paranoid???
I think I will go to the library and check out some real light reading- something along the lines of Mists of Avalon or something. I need my own dose of fantasy lol
speaking of Moms…. maybe that is the thing that unites PUMAS. We were all raised by strong women who taught us to respect ourselves & other women & that women are just as good as men. This could also be why we like strong women candidates like Hillary & Sarah. My Mom & my Aunts all saw thru Nobama. One Aunt even internet campaigned for McCain. They all disliked how Hillary & Sarah were trashed by the Dems, ostensibly the equal rights party. I would say look around at the women in your families. Any of them drink the kool-aid?

Sonrisa–I’m not a mother, but my mother worked in a profession, although she stayed home for 10 years. Neither of us drank the kool-aid…neither did my aunt (her sister) who also taught school for years…They are in their 80’s and I’ve heard plenty of stories about the crap they dealt with…and they weren’t happy about it back then, either!

“Islamic Finance 101” is just opening the back door to Shariah Law. Scoff all you want, but mark my words this step by the Treasury Dept. is the beginning of another take-over of the banking system by the “new World Order” thugs. Making it doubly suspect is the fact that it is being shepherded in by Bush and Paulson. They want the zillions of $ in oil money invested in the US so badly that they are ready to sell us all down the river to obtain their goals. When they set up a website to promote this, it should ring a bell in your brain that warns there is a heavy duty freight train coming down the track.
NO form of Islamic Financing or Shariah Law has any place in the United States of America.
