McCain and the Possible VP Pick–Putting a BOMB under Obama?? (UPDATE 1X–BOMB PLACED–It’s Palin) UPDATE 2X–ONE HELLUVA SPEECH BY PALIN; UPDATE 3X–Palin on Choice/Gays

The lead over at Tennesse Guerrilla Woman this AM is about Gov. Sarah Palin–a mysterious plane arriving in Dayton, OH last night with a woman and two teenagers getting off it and the fact that Pawlenty is NOT going to Ohio today.

If Palin is the VP pick, what does that do to Hillary in 2012? Does she run if Palin is the next one in line?

We know the Democratic Party considers her DONE, so there won’t be support from them, most likely.

Years ago I heard a prediction that the first woman President would come from the Republican side.

Perhaps this will play out…

In the meantime, if Palin is the pick…McCain is putting a bomb under the ass of Obama!!

UPDATE

Edge of Forever is saying she’s PRO-CHOICE...I haven’t confirmed it yet, but if she is….WOW!

Just as I had heard before, SHE IS NOT PRO-CHOICE…

UPDATE 2

A few words on Palin…ONE HELLUVA SPEECH and woman….

UPDATE 3

It seems that while Palin is pro-life (and has put her money where her mouth is by not doing what 80% of those with Downs babies in utero do, namely abort), she doesn’t believe she has the right to make the decision for anyone else.

Doesn’t this sound like how the eloquent Mario Cuomo approached the subject??? I remember a brilliant speech he did on just this subject…how he viewed his Catholic faith versus his public duty to uphold the laws of the land.

Also, she vetoed a bill that would have blockd partner rights for gays, after consulting about the constitutionality of the proposed law.

  1. I was pondering what it would mean if a Republican female were up to bat myself when I thought about Carly Fiorina. I think it would be like nothing we’ve ever seen!!!! For Hillary to go up against another woman. I don’t think there would be anything wrong with that.

I’m glad that McCain is considering a woman. I had hoped he would. You know, I’ve also heard that the first Black president would come from the Republican side. I think those wise soothsayers might be right. An announcement that Palin or Fiorina is McCain’s VP would seal the deal on this thing much sooner than I had imagined.

  2. I am planning on voting for McCain here in Wisconsin as a protest vote against Obama and the corruption of the Democratic Party.

If Sarah Palin were on the ticket it would make that choice a little easier to do. I know she does not exemplify many of the things I believe. Neither does Obama.

If she is McCain’s pick things could get very interesting.

  3. I was not going to vote for Senator McCain–EVAH–but I’ll vote for Palin.

The BO supporters must be in more of a frenzy than usual.

Way to go, Senator McCain! Show the Democrats what CDS will cost them.

  4. I wasn’t going to vote for McCain either, but this has impressed me. Outside the box, unexpected by pundits, O supporters on tv this morning are ashen and quiet. McCain totally stole Obama’s thunder. I might be able to watch tv again.

As for choice, if Roe is sent back to the states I think it will be the end of the Republican party and it will set Hillary up to run in 2012. But I don’t think McCain is that stupid and I think and hope he will work for consensus in a Supreme Court pick. He does have lots of Dem friends in the Senate.

  5. McCain and Palin showed more respect to Gerry and Hillary than the whole democratic party.
We will never have to wonder about anti-american mentors and if the position will change with the moonrise.

    COUNTRY BEFORE PARTY ALWAYS

    PUMAS,BUBBAS, AND THOSE PEOPLE RULE

  6. One thing I am finding puzzling is the number of Hillary supporters who are finding McCain’s choice an insult. I don’t get it. There was a lot of talk about Republican Women Voters and Independent Women Voters voting Democratic if Hillary was the nominee.

Of course McCain is pandering. ALL politicians pander. But in his pandering he picked what appears to be a smart, talented and competent woman. Is she Hillary Clinton? Of course not. No one is and no one should be expected to be.

I respect that Sarah Palin gave a shout out to Senator Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro. It’s more than they got from their own party.

I still think this is going to get very interesting. And I think the misogynistic Boyz on the left are going to try to trash this woman. Hell, they’ve started all ready. We were told before that they weren’t sexist it was just Hillary. Time will tell, won’t it?
