Take Action: Call Your Representative about the House Vote on the “Stimulus Package” Today! (Info on the Bill, Including ACORN, too) (Update 1: Birth Control OUT OF BILL!)

A vote on the House version of the “stimulus package” is expected today, Wednesday, January 28.

OK, so we know it will pass. But that doesn’t mean we have to stay silent. We should make an effort to let our representatives in D.C. know that not ALL Americans are uniformed, brain dead, or have succumbed completely to the Obama/Democratic Kool-Aid.

It’s a matter of self-respect. If we don’t make the call, we are sending them a message, whether we like it or not. We’re telling Washington that we don’t care.  But we do!  At the very least, we can start going on the record and let the people in D.C. know that SOMEONE is watching them!

Late yesterday afternoon I called Rep. Harry Teague who represents New Mexico CD-2.  I informed the woman on the other end of the line that I was an “ex-Democrat” and that I did not want Teague to vote in favor of a pork-laden, “smoke and mirrors” bill which didn’t help ME, but seemed to help the likes of ACORN. I told her lack of oversight of how the money would be spent was the most irresponsible thing I had seen from the Democratic Party in years and that coming after the corruption of the primaries, made me glad I was an “ex-Democrat.”  I told her that I had seen a lot, but, of course, that meant I was older and “unwanted”…but that I still had a right to comment.   I told her that in the long run this would really hurt the Democratic Party.

It was very easy to do.  Because calling was THE RIGHT THING TO DO!

If I hear one complaint against upfront Sarah Palin, who has NEVER overturned a bill that secures the rights of women and gays, I will put another HEX on NARAL, NOW, Ms. Magazine, and Planned Parenthood.

PS…I just called Rep. Teague’s office, told them what I thought about Obama’s misogyny and Teague not being worth 2 cents…and told the woman that I didn’t know how she could sit in that office with this crap going on and that women should rise up…including HER!
